Army E-Girl PsyOps and Ukraine Trolls the U.S. This Week on an Angry Planet
The week of 1/13/23 started off with riots in Brazil and ended with some weird mysteries about influencers and special operations forces in America.
The first thing you need to see this week is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 2023 cat calendar. You can download the calendar for free. It contains images of giant cats lingering in places that giant cats should, perhaps, not be.
PsyOps and SpecOps in America
Fifteen soldiers assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg were questioned by the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) this week. According to reporting from various sources, the soldiers were being questioned about drugs. Two of them were immediately cleared.
According to retired operator and current journalist Jack Murphy writing for Connecting Vets, arrests were made this week and the investigation involves the FBI as well as CID. Worse, authorities are looking into accusations of human trafficking as well as drugs. "This is what happens when there is no war, no direction, and an 18-month red cycle with no mission," an operator told Murphy. "So dudes are fucking around with young kids and the craziest drugs. All these lives ruined because people are just bored."
It’s a weird story because the paper trail is hard to nail down. Fort Bragg and CID both acknowledge that there’s an investigation but gave outlets the same canned answer about what exactly is happening and wouldn’t confirm arrests. Local police departments said they “weren’t involved” in the arrests, which at least implies some form of arrests happened. It’s likely that whatever is happening at Fort Bragg is the start of a larger story.
Two years ago at Fort Bragg, someone beheaded a 21-year-old paratrooper in the woods. He went missing during a camping trip and his head washed ashore on Shackleford Banks. Twelve soldiers have died at the Fort in recent years, some of them under mysterious circumstances. Three deaths from drug overdoses occurred among Green Beret trainees in 2020 and 2021. In January, an MP was arrested and charged with selling Oxycodone while on duty.
These are all small pieces of a grim story that we’re only just starting to understand.
That air of mystery also surrounds our next story. Meet Haylujan.
